  • CERT Training and Education - Offers technical and managerial courses related to creating and managing computer security incident response teams (CSIRTs), responding to and analyzing security incidents, and improving network security. This site includes a link to:
    CERT Virtual Training Environment, a Web-based library of information assurance and computer forensics, and incident response information. It contains more than 160 hours of multimedia-based instruction targeted at system administrators and computer incident first responders.
  • International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC)2 - Provides Information Security training and administers certification examinations for security professionals.
  • Merit Network is a nonprofit organization owned by the public universities in Michigan that provides network services to U-M and many other institutions.
  • National Information Assurance Training and Education Center (NIATEC) - Supports the development of teaching standards, materials, and course materials for information assurance topics and courses.
  • SANS Institute - Offers security education training at conferences sponsored by the organization
