Adobe offers four cloud storage options for file sharing and collaboration:
- Creative Cloud
- Document Cloud
- Adobe Spark
The Document Cloud and Spark storage services are not available to members of the Michigan Medicine community.
Adobe Creative Cloud Services include desktop and mobile applications for print and online media design, video editing, web development, and more, along with additional services such as cloud storage, a library of fonts, and training. Adobe Creative Cloud is available at no charge to students, faculty, and regular full-time and part-time staff on the UM-Ann Arbor, UM-Dearborn, UM-Flint, and Michigan Medicine campuses.
Adobe Cloud Storage services (Creative Cloud, Lightroom, Document Cloud, and Adobe Spark) may be used with FERPA data as Adobe has publicly acknowledged that they are acting as a "school official" for FERPA purposes. Refer to Adobe & Student Privacy for more information.
The Adobe Cloud Service may not be used to store or maintain any other types of sensitive university data.
The Adobe Creative Cloud applications may be used with sensitive data only when those applications are installed locally (that is, not used in the cloud) and the files are stored in approved locations
