ITS and the School of Information host events to raise awareness, promote best practices, and provoke thought and conversation on privacy topics broadly relevant to our community members and society at large. Events are typically offered as part of a celebration of International Data Privacy Day in January.
Keynote Presentations
Privacy@Michigan keynote speakers from U-M, other academic institutions and influential data privacy organizations share research findings, raise thought-provoking questions, and engage in discourse on topics that shape the data privacy landscape.
Past speakers have included internationally recognized privacy leaders, journalists, and scholars from a variety of disciplines who are committed to the mission of protecting individuals’ right to privacy across all levels of society.
Panels and Information Sessions
Privacy@Michigan brings together U-M community members into direct and open conversation about data privacy concerns and innovative solutions at the university and beyond.
- Panels offer opportunities to participate in-depth discussions about compelling and timely data privacy concerns.
- Information Sessions led by IA team members promote processes, provide updates, and offer technological guidance that help U-M community members champion and implement data privacy best practices.
