A series of phishing emails is circulating, asking you to take action regarding your UMICH ID, which is designed to steal your login information.

The subject lines of the phishing email may vary: 

  • Significant information about your Umich
  • Notice concerning your Umich
  • Notice on your Umich
  • Notice 0n your Umich

You are being contacted by University of Michigan to notify you about your ID.  

Currently there are items that require your attention login to umich.edu/um767t7e portal to complete the requested information that is listed on your account.

How This Scam Works

The "portal" linked in the email points to a Google site that is crafted to look like an authentication redirection page (see below).

The "click here to continue" link on the web page points to a fake UM WebLogin page. Entering your UM credentials on this fake login page will give the threat actors access to your personal information.

Note: The correct URL for UM Weblogin always begins with https://weblogin.umich.edu/.
