Phishing Message Summary

This phishing email attempts to trick users into providing their name and password to a fake login site. U-M will not send email asking you to rush to prevent account shutoff. University of Michigan email changes are anounced ahead of time, and U-M accounts, including Michigan Medicine, are based on your affiliation, and are only removed when your qualifiying affiliation goes away. The link in the phish shows a fake Outlook Web login page. A check of the URL in this phising email shows that it is not a valid U-M address. Always check a site's URL before entering your user credentials!
