Each October, ITS Information Assurance (IA) celebrates Cybersecurity Awareness Month by reminding members of the university community about their shared responsibility to protect themselves and the U-M community. Below are events at U-M and beyond, as well as resources to help you be #cyberaware and #cybersecure.

Cybersecurity Awareness Month 2021 will feature a series of online events presented by ITS IA and our partners, including weekly online events for SUMIT.

SUMIT 2021

SUMIT 2021 will feature weekly events throughout the month of October. Check back here and on the the ITS IA calendar for dates, times, and information on how to join online. Topics will include:

Cybersecurity Challenge

The annual cybersecurity challenge returns for 2021! October 18-29, U-M students, can test their knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy for the chance to win prizes. This year, Ann Arbor, Dearborn, and Flint campuses will each hold a challenge for their students!

Ask the ITS IA Experts

Bring your cybersecurity questions to our weekly Ask the ITS Information Assurance Experts office hours. Every Tuesday from 3:00–4:00 p.m.
