Does U-M have a specific agreement with Zoom?
Yes. U-M has a separate agreement with Zoom, and other videoconferencing providers. Among other things, these agreements specify that the vendors may not sell or rent U-M data; are required to secure and protect it; and may only collect and use information for the purposes of running and improving the services they provide on the university’s behalf.
It's not just about the agreement. It is important that you use the services securely and follow best practices to secure your meetings.
