Virtual Private Network (VPN) Restrictions
As of July 31, 2024, Michigan Medicine's Virtual Private Network (VPN) will be limited exclusively to devices managed by Michigan Medicine.
If you do not have a HITS-managed device, you can access most Michigan Medicine resources by using Windows Virtual Device (WVD).
To access WVD, you will need Michigan Medicine credentials. If you do not already have them, you should reach out to your manager/director to request access. They will need the following information:
- First and last name
- Phone number
- Email address
- Gender
- Date of birth
- SSN
Once you have a Michigan Medicine account, you will be able to access WVD by following these instructions: Windows WVD – Getting Started. You will need to log in using your Michigan Medicine account to see these instructions. See the VPN Project Page for additional details.
